Galaxis communities are centered around value transfer, with a common example being that community owners offer services such as podcasts, consulting, or merchandise, in exchange for payments from members. Galaxis provides various options for this: members can purchase collection cards or pay for badges that signify special status or benefits, but these are one-time payments.
Our subscription feature allows community owners to create multiple membership tiers and receive regular monthly payments. Owners have complete flexibility in defining these tiers and their names – you can have Bronze, Silver and Gold membership tiers; you can simply have a free Normal and a paid VIP one; or you can have Druid, Witch, Paladin, Rogue and Barbarian membership types.

Here's how Galaxis subscriptions currently operate:
- You can have any number of tiers.
- Tiers are mutually exclusive but one is not necessarily "higher" than another ("Silver" probably should have every benefit that Bronze does, but the platform does not enforce it).
- Your subscription tier is represented by a badge on your membership card.
- You can define monthly and yearly subscription fees. They can be different or the same, it is up to you how you organize your community members. You may, but do not have to offer yearly discounts.
- At this moment, prices can be defined in USD (USDC). Other payment methods will soon follow.
- Members can subscribe for any number of months or years they want.
- Naturally, you can cancel your subscription and withdraw your money at any time (but the month or year you started will not be refunded).
- When you subscribe, money is first deposited on your card and the community owner can only receive payment for the active period (month or year) you subscribed for. When you cancel your subscription, it means you stop the automatic process that makes the next payment available to the owner in the next period. If you had leftover money on your card, it is not immediately returned to your wallet, it stays deposited on your card. You need to withdraw it to put it back to your wallet.
While the members may pay for longer times, you can access and receive only the membership fees paid up to the current period (month or year). So if you have only one member who paid $120 for 6 months (assuming that the subscription fee is $20/month), in the first month you can withdraw only $20 out of that sum. The rest will become available to you as time progresses.
