The Warp Rabbit is a simple community game to reward engagement among community members.
"Warp Rabbits" (rabbit-shaped decals) appear on / warp into random community cards.
Here is an example card with and without a Warp Rabbit:
Rabbits warp onto a card randomly, and stay on the card for 20-60 minutes (as they feel so).
While on the card, the community member can "catch" the rabbit by interacting with its icon on the back of the card:
->
->
If the owner of the card managed to catch the rabbit, they can be rewarded. In this specific instance the reward is increasing the value of another badge, the Holy Hand-grenade of Antioch:

The badge holds a value (max two), and each rabbit caught increases it by 0.5
This is how the badge looked like before and after catching the Warp Rabbit:

As you can see, the value increased to 2, but not higher than two, since the badge has a maximum value that is set to two.
The Rabbit warps on a card randomly, and only staying around for a short while (20-60 minutes). It is unreasonable to expect people to watch their cards 24/7. Catching the rabbit takes either serious commitment (we know of people who wrote scripts, so it is possible!) or luck.
So another mechanism was implemented, a consolation prize that can be reached much easier than catching the Warp Rabbit.
If the Rabbit leaves a card uncaught, it leaves his paw print behind:

The Paw appears on the front of the card as a badge:

And when clicked on, it can be claimed. But instead of 0.5, it only increases the reward badge by 0.1

The paw stays on the card longer, for 24 hours. After that it disappeares. If the rabbit visits the card multiple times in a day, the Paw's value will go up by 0.1 every time, and decreases by the same amount after 24 hours.
Thus the Paw can be used as a daily check-in utility, because if you visit your card once every 24 hours, there is a good chance that you will find a Paw on it, waiting for you to claim it.
The Warp Rabbit is just an example, a proof of concept. The idea and the execution is infinitely malleable. The code is available here. Instead of Rabbits, there could be meteors, ghosts, pirates, or whatever fits your community. The reward can be a token or nft drop, a badge, a border, or anything else that makes sense for your community.
The rabbit might bring something to the visited cards, or it might take something – it is all up to you, based on your needs and limited only by your imagination.
